As a community-based organization, RAC focuses on several forms of outreach.
- We survey Reston retail and service establishments to discover where access could be improved and where exemplary examples of accessibility are in place.
- We contact owners and property managers of Reston retail and service businesses, discussing ways in which specific aspects of their premises can be modified to facilitate access by a wider range of customers.
Our outreach to owners and property managers emphasizes good will, good faith and the common good – our 3 Gs. We would much rather work with an owner or property manager as a community partner than against him or her as an adversary.
